1950s Shawl lapel midnight blue dinner jacket (size 38 Regular)
Up for sale is this very sharp 1950s tuxedo / dinner jacket (38 reg).   It features a shawl lapels and satin details.  Nice condition and true stand out for formal events or for stagewear.  The jacket is a classic Italian cut with a single button closure, padded shoulders, besom pockets, and a ventless rear.
The color is midnight blue, almost black.
A very sharp jacket for that unique vintage look!
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. No stains. Appears to be lightly used.  One tiny flaw near the button hole; only visible on close inspection (see pictures).  Lining is excellent condition. There is a vintage cleaning or stock tag attached to the interior.  Clean and smoke free.

Chest (arm pit to arm pit): 21.5"  double is 43, the normal deduction is 4-5 making it a 38-39
Waist (across top /middle button): 19.75"

Perfect; like brand new
Excellent:
Looks nearly perfect; no visible flaws; almost new condition
Very Good:
Only a few minor flaws which are not visible or have no effect on the look of the garment
Good:
Multiple minor flaws, but may not be very noticeable, the garment is still wearable, but may need minor repair
A few words on sizing:
Since many suits aren't marked, I go by measurements to determine size.  Also be aware that sometimes a suit is marked, but it doesn't match the measurements. If you aren't sure of your size or the size of your own well-fitting jacket, there are a lot of guides on the internet to help you measure yourself and your jackets.  I use "askandyaboutclothes" "how to measure a men's suit jacket" as the basis for my measurements. I’m not affiliated with this guide, it just is the most user-friendly. Please take a little time to check your measurements, before you invest in a suit.
